In this French learning episode, you’ll follow Étienne through the end of an ordinary workday in Paris — until he realizes that this evening is anything but ordinary.

Hungry after skipping lunch, Étienne leaves the office, takes the métro home, walks past the neighborhood restaurants, and arrives at his apartment expecting a quiet moment to himself.

Instead, his wife Sandra is already home, dressed for dinner.

There’s just one problem: it’s their wedding anniversary… and Étienne has completely forgotten.

What follows is a last-minute attempt to save the evening: choosing a restaurant, calling La Cucina, asking for a table, and trying to secure a reservation before Sandra realizes quite how improvised the whole plan really is.
