Kukla and Relja Ćupić were on the microphones of Interlude, the podcast series of the Festival international Music & Cinema Marseille, to talk about Fantasy, Kukla's first feature film presented in the official competition of the 27th edition of the MCM and starring Mina Milovanović.

The film follows three young women, each in her own way becoming who she is, against what is expected of her, set to a score rooted in Balkan turbo-folk, a hybrid genre born in the 90s in former Yugoslavia.

In this conversation, Kukla and Relja look back on ten years of work, on the non-professional actresses at the heart of the cast (Sarah Al Saleh, Mia Skrbinac, and Alina Juhart), and on what it means to build a dreamlike musical world for a film that is already so deeply visual.
